Minister Richard Bruton says money has been set aside in the Department of Educations budget for their ambitions to develop a Technological University for the South East.
The Minister cut the ribbon on the 10 million euro Haughton building at IT Carlow earlier which was built to accommodate the growing number of students there.
President of Waterford IT Willie Donnelly was there for this mornings visit by the Minister along with the President of IT Carlow Patricia Mulcahy and Department Heads.
Minister Bruton told KCLR that the Technological University for the South East is part of the ambition he has set for Ireland to be the best Education & Training service in Europe within a decade.
