Carlow and Kilkenny got their rugby seasons under way today.
Carlow were in Wexford to face New Ross in the South East J1 League, but lost out on a scoreline of 16- 12.

Meanwhile in Kilkenny, Enniscorthy were the visitors in a repeat of the Provincial Towns Cup. The Wexford side were too strong on the day winning 35-17.
