The KCLR Daily Fertility Focus; Acupuncture in fertility treatment
Continuing our fertility focus segment on KCLR, sponsored by First IVF, we are meeting a variety of specialists in the field of fertility over the course of eight weeks. Last Thursday, we kicked things off with Professor Ray Sullivan from First IVF. This week, we are exploring the role of acupuncture in fertility treatment.
Brenda Ward is passionate about holistic approaches in Eastern medicine. She qualified as an acupuncturist with the Acupuncture Foundation of Ireland in 2008, earning a Grade A Diploma. She furthered her studies by travelling to China, where she worked in a hospital in Nanjing. Brenda also has a strong interest in nutrition, believing in the Eastern medicine concept that food is medicine—a principle that was embraced for decades but has often been overlooked in the Western world. She is accredited by the Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association and runs the Acu-Wellness clinic in Maynooth.
