The Notorius MMA Conor McGregor has described a Carlow athlete as an inspiration.
Willie O Toole from Rathvilly competes for St Laurence O Tooles Athletics Club in Carlow.

This week he posted a video of himself doing ‘pull-ups’ after seeing footage of McGregor doing it on a beach in Brazil as he prepares for his next big UFC bout.
The mixed martial arts fighter responded after seeing it this morning and was very impressed with the Carlow mans technique.
