“Money shouldn’t be a problem when it comes to a child’s health.”
The words of Carlow Councillor and member of the Regional Health Forum for the South, Arthur McDonald who says the family of a young local boy have been told there’s a two year waiting list for tonsilitis treatment.
He says the child has had to go to his GP at least 15 times with the complaint and has been admitted to hospital a couple of times.
He’s hoping to raise the matter with the Regional Health Forum at a meeting today.
However, Councillor McDonald says it’s been proving difficult to get any concrete information from the Health Service.
