It’s thought a body that washed up on a beach in Wales in 1985 could be the father of a Kilkenny man.
53 year-old, Brendan Dowley, got on a bus in Kilkenny city, before going to Rosslare, and boarding a ferry to Hollyhead.
Three weeks later, a body washed up on a beach, and was buried without being identified.
Brendan’s son, Alan Dowley, appeared on RTE’s Prime Time programme last night, after her gave a DNA sample to Gardaí to be compared with the body that washed up.
Prime Time Journalist, Barry Cummins, told KCLR Live this morning that there are some unconfirmed indicators linking the washed up body to Brendan Dowley.
He says there were some scars on the body that match ones Brendan Dowley had.
