Three-car collision in Carlow leaves a number of people with serious injuries
A number of people have been taken to hospital – some with serious injuries – after three cars collided in Carlow earlier.
There was a total of seven people travelling in the cars along the N80 between Ballon and Bunclody at a place called Boggan Hill.
Of those who’ve been taken to hospital, their injuries are said to be serious but non-life-threatening.
That stretch of road has been closed since the crash happened at lunchtime while Gardaí are carrying out a roadside investigation.
It’s expected to reopen this evening but, until then, you’re being urged to avoid it completely.
Diversions are in place.
