Triathlon and An Post Rás set to bring 1,000 people to Carlow this weekend

There’s a hectic weekend ahead for Carlow with the town playing host to some big sporting events.

There’s a stage finish for the An Post Rás on Sunday evening and hundreds of cyclists will stay overnight before leaving on the next stage on Monday.

On Saturday evening Laois and Carlow clash in the senior football championship while on Sunday afternoon 500 people will take part in the Triathlon in the town.

One of the organisers of that, Don Morrissey says it’s become a much bigger event than they had originally planned for.
