Tributes are being paid to a Kilkenny man who died following an accident with a horse yesterday.

Tom O’Dwyer from Cappagh in Callan was fatally injured while out walking the animal with his daughter.

KCLR news understands that the incident happened in Ballintaggart on the Tipperary/Kilkenny border.

Mr O’Dwyer was well-known in the area and in equestrian circles.

His daughter is being described as a “renowned show jumper” while tributes to Tom say he was “a great community man”.
