Two people have been arrested in relation to an incident earlier this week which left a Laois footballer with serious head injuries.
Inter-county footballer Daniel O’Reilly was badly hurt after an altercation at the Potato Market in the early hours of Monday morning.
He remains in St Luke’s Hospital.
Gardaí have confirmed to KCLR News this morning that two men were arrested yesterday.
Both men are in their 20s and are being detained in Kilkenny and Thomastown Garda Stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
