Two men remain in custody this morning following yesterday’s seizure of 1.6 million euro worth of drugs in Carlow.
77 kilos of cannabis, along with 21,000 euro in cash, were found in a house on the Tullow Road after a raid by the local drugs unit, detective branches and the Armed Support Unit as part of an international operation.
Gardaí have told KCLR News that two Polish-nationals – aged 38 and 39 – were arrested and were taken to Kilkenny Garda Station under the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act.
They can be held up until next Friday.
