Carlow Weather’s Alan O’Reilly says the partial solar eclipse won’t be visable for most here as the cloud has arrived.
It’s the biggest partial eclipse of the sun in Ireland in a decade, is happening from 10am this morning.
Over half of the Sun’s width is expected to be covered by the moon over the next hour.
Mayo is likely to get the best view – although people are warned not to look directly at the sun – unless they have special glasses.
The cloud has arrived which sadly means the partial solar eclipse won’t be visible for most here. A dull and damp morning and afternoon ahead but rainfall amounts will be low and sunny spells will develop this evening. Remember clocks go forward tonight. pic.twitter.com/UKBi5QkjHi
