A woman has died following a road traffic collision on the N76 at Westcourt Demesne, Callan, Co. Kilkenny, on Friday evening.
The incident, which occurred just before 9pm, involved a car and a female pedestrian in her 30s. Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the woman was taken to St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny, with serious injuries. Sadly, she was pronounced deceased earlier today.

Gardaí are now appealing for witnesses to the incident or anyone who may have dash-cam footage from the area between 8.45pm and 9.15pm on Friday to come forward with any information.
