Yellow weather warning in place for Carlow & Kilkenny

We are in for a rough day weather-wise.

A status Orange warning for Storm Gareth is confined to the North East of the country but there is a yellow warning in place from midday for Carlow and Kilkenny.

The forecast is for westerly winds that are set to reach mean speeds of 50 to 65km/h and gusts of 90 to 110km.

The warning comes into effect at midday today, Tuesday March 12 & ends at midday on Wednesday, March 13.
