Young people across Carlow and Kilkenny urged to make sure you are registered to vote in upcoming presidential election.

The National Youth Council is reminding young people they don’t automatically get registered to vote the moment they turn 18.

The group is highlighting the issue ahead of tonight’s deadline for anyone who wishes to vote in the upcoming Presidential election.

62,000 young people turned 18 in the last twelve months, but they still need to signal their intent to take part on the 24th of October.
