Young woman and heart transplant recipient to be laid to rest in Kilkenny today
The funeral takes place this morning of a young woman and former heart transplant recipient.
20-year-old Joanne Connolly of Oaklawns, Paulstown attended Coláiste Pobail Osraí and was known for her love of fashion and music.
She died on Sunday at St Luke’s Hospital.
Funeral mass takes place in Paulstown, at 11 o’clock this morning and she’ll be laid to rest in Wells Cemetery.
Her mother, Elaine, has asked attendees to wear something colourful to help celebrate Joanne’s life.
Her father, the late John Connolly, also underwent a heart transplant.
