A call is being made for free or subsidised parking at hospitals for cancer patients around the country.
The Irish Cancer Society has contacted Carlow and Kilkenny county councillors asking them to bring forward a notice of motion requesting that the local hospital St Lukes would introduce such a measure.
Donal Buggy Head of Advocacy & Services at the Irish Cancer Society told KCLR they have since learned that such a practice exists at St Lukes but it may not be public knowledge.
