A number of heritage projects in Kilkenny have received funding under the Heritage Council Grants Scheme.
A total of 171 heritage projects nationwide are set to benefit from the money.
This scheme supports the continuing conservation and development of Irish Heritage through local community based groups.
Kilkenny based projects are in line for a total of 19 thousand 500 hundred euro.
The updating of Rothe House is getting €7,500, the stabilisation and conservation of the eastern gable of St Nicholas’ Church in Jerpoint is getting €8,000.
The final project benefiting from this funding is the conservation plan and feasibility study for Billy Kiely’s cottage in ballyhale – they’re getting €4,000.
