Efforts are underway to resolve a school bus issue in South Kilkenny.
Up to 17 children in the Listerlin and Mullinavat areas were refused concessionary bus tickets to New Ross where they had been enrolled for the new school year.
Their parents claim they could be accommodated if Bus Éireann provided a bigger bus.
A meeting between the affected families, local elected representatives and Minister John Halligan took place in Waterford this morning in an effort to find a solution for all.
John McGuinness was at the meeting and told KCLR news the Minister gave a commitment to look into the matter at least.
