Local rivers are being monitored today as the threat of flooding persists.
Levels in the Burrin, Barrow and Slaney all rose steadily throughout yesterday and the council says its on constant alert with mitigation measures already in place in Carlow Town, Leighlinbridge, Tullow and Tinnahinch.
It comes as another storm gets set to hit this afternoon.
Heavy rain is expected again with up to 50 millimetres forecast for some areas.
