Medieval Mile Museum opening delayed

The opening of Kilkenny’s Medieval Mile Museum has been postponed.
The centre at St Mary’s Church in the heart of the city was due to open to the public at the end of this month.
That’s now been pushed back to January of next year.
Some of the bodies and artefacts discovered during digs at St Mary’s could be included in the display once the museum opens.
St Mary’s grounds has been the site of some major archaeological finds in recent months – including 13th century remains.
Speaking to KCLR News, Kilkenny Councillor Malcolm Noonan says those finds have already brought a lot of attention to the project.
