Local Councillor Andrew McGuinness says it was a tough to make the decisions they did about two housing proposals for Kilkenny yesterday.
Council members voted against a proposal for 21 new social housing units in the Butts in Kilkenny City.
They’ve also voted against increasing the number of houses that can be built on the Mt Juliet estate in Thomastown to 16.
Speaking to KCLR News about the Butts proposal, Cllr McGuinness says it would not have been the right decision because it is already one of the most crowded areas of the city.
