11 towns and villages in Carlow and Kilkenny have been given funding to revitalise their local areas.
7 places in Carlow and 4 in Kilkenny will share €760,000 from the Town and Village renewal scheme.
As part of the funding, Bagenalstown gets €85,000, Borris €47,000 , Hacketstown €54,000, Leighlinbridge €38,000, Myshall €34,000, Rathvilly €35,000 and Tullow gets €85,000.
That amounts to €380,000, which is the same amount that Kilkenny got which will be shared between four areas.
Ballyhale, Kells, Piltown and Urlingford all receive €95,000 each.
The money will go towards a wide range of projects which include local community groups, playgrounds, footpaths and tourism amenities.
