19 new Gardai have been appointed to the Kilkenny Division.
That’s according to Chief Superintendent Dominic Hayes who told a Joint Policing Committee meeting this week in response to a question raised by Councillor David Fitzgerald.

He also says the force is at its highest ever levels of Sergeants and Inspectors.
Councillor Fitzgerald says it’s welcome and long overdue.
