A 7-year-old Kilkenny girl and her family return from Texas today after a meeting with a neurologist who has promised to get her walking by herself.
Born in 2009, more than three months premature, Katie Lonergan was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when she was a year and a half old and then dystonia which is a movement disorder.
A fund called “Katie’s Wish to Walk” was set up and they’ve raised €120,000 for these visits and Katie’s mother Aisling says they’ll be flying home with a smile on their faces.
