8 still in Garda custody following raids in Kilkenny, Waterford & Tipperary

Gardai are continuing to question eight people in connection with an investigation into organised crime in the South East

They were arrested in Kilkenny, Tipperary and Waterford yesterday after more than 40 homes were raided in the region.

Gardaí recovered jewellery and electronics during the operation.

12 people were initially detained, one man and one woman have been released without charge, while, two other men were arrested on warrant and have been transferred to prison.
