Funeral of pensioner who died in Piltown crash takes place today

The pensioner who died in a road traffic accident in Piltown on Thursday night will be laid to rest today.

Denis Walsh who was in his 70’s was killed on the N24 when his car and a lorry collided near the Piltown exit between Carrick on Suir and Mooncoin.

His funeral mass takes place at 11am this morning in Templeorum Church – he’ll be laid to rest afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
