Kilkenny’s Central Access Scheme bridge to open in April

The new CAS bridge in Kilkenny is expected to be open by early April.

Members sought clarification at a meeting of Kilkenny County Council on plans for the traffic when it does open.

The intention is that the new bridge will be two-way as will Greensbridge, although restrictions will apply to HGV’s.

Cllr Pat Fitzpatrick raised his concerns over current situation in Vicar St as the works continue.

He told KCLR afterwards was pleased to get assurances that something will be done about it.
