Kevin Kelly of ‘Jacket Off Your Back’ says he was close to packing it all in

A local businessman whose been working to highlight the plight of refugees says he was close to packing it all in.

Kevin Kelly, who founded the ‘Jacket off your back’ campaign in Carlow had more recently been supplying aid to refugees in war-torn countries

He’s told KCLR that he was ready to give up on the project, due to the lack of funding available to them – however, a meeting with the charity regulator last week changed that.
