111 Kilkenny groups to benefit from funding for festivals and other events

Over €6 million in LEADER funding allocated for rural developments in Carlow

There’s been a marked increase in the number of applications for festival and events funding in Kilkenny this year.

111 different groups will be getting a cut of €110,000 – up from 76 last year.

The funding was agreed at  yesterday’s monthly meeting of the county council.

Councillor Joe Malone says there’s a good mix of small and bigger projects getting a slice of the funding which ranges from €250 to €5,000.
