Carlow Town’s new mayor to be announced this Thursday

Carlow’s Mayor is heading into his final few days in office.

Fintan Phelan will hand over the chain on Thursday when his replacement will be elected at the annual meeting of the municipal district.

It’s been a busy year for him attending events right around the county and he held the first Mayors Awards for Carlow at the weekend.

Speaking to KCLR News today the Mayor said his year as first citizen has been a great one.
