€1.5 million going to Carlow to make houses more accessible

One and a half million euro is being made available in Carlow to help make houses more accessible for older people and those with disabilities.

Grants of up to €30,000 will be handed out for home adaptations, €8,000 for housing aids for older people and €6,000 for mobility aids.

Director of services for housing in Carlow, Séamus O’Connor says the funding this year is their highest ever.
