Carlow businesses are being urged to get online or risk being left behind.

#Carlow Digital Storytelling Project has just been launched by the Local Enterprise Office along with a number of other local organisations.

At the moment, Irish people spend more than 14,000 euro every minute online but less than a third of all Irish businesses are selling online.

Speaking to KCLR News, Head of Enterprise in Carlow, Kieran Comerford explains exactly what’s involved in the campaign once you sign up:

“The first part of the programme is delivered on a one-to-one basis so a digital expert goes into their company and helps them to assess where they’re currently at.

“They also give some advice on some of the other supports available from Government. Then when there’s 50 companies done we’ll do a needs analysis based on that.

“We’ll either do training or help them develop tools so there’s a separate fund there for those 50 companies to really enhance what they’re doing.”
