Carlow Gardaí investigating assault on taxi driver

Gardaí in Carlow are looking for witnesses after a taxi driver was assaulted in Carlow this week.

Shortly after midnight on Monday morning, the driver had dropped off his customer at Centaur Street in the Town but the man punched him in the face before leaving.

Garda Andy Neill told KCLR that, thankfully, the taxi driver didn’t sustain any serious injuries, and assaults like these aren’t all that uncommon.
