Illegal dumping at one Carlow spot cleared by council & locals

A 30 foot skip and a digger were deployed by Carlow county council to clear a local site of illegal dumping at the weekend.

Dumped household waste and other items had built up in the field near the Dolmen Celtic soccer club but on Saturday last members were joined by locals for a big clean-up.

Shane Cahill is secretary of the local club – he says the land there has great potential to provide more amenities in the community.
