“There’s a fear there now” says local man after fireworks were flung into his garden on Carlow Laois border moments after his infant child left the space

A local Dad’s been recounting the horror of seeing fireworks land in his back garden, just moments after his 20-month-old child vacated the space.

Paul Dargan lives in Graiguecullen on the Carlow Laois border and runs a business in Kilkenny city.

CCTV footage picked up a number of young men outside his property, at least two of whom can be seen flinging fireworks which landed amid toys.

Garda Press has told KCLR News “Gardaí received reports of fireworks in Graiguecullen, Co. Carlow on the 7th October 2024 at approximately 6pm. No arrests were made. No offenses were disclosed.”

Paul’s been telling our Brian Redmond of the ordeal on The KCLR Daily – hear their conversation here;
