Local farmer calls on Agricultural chiefs to ‘tighten up’ after last night’s Prime Time Investigates

There’s growing outrage following the release of video footage of live animal shipments claimed to be from Ireland.

It’s sparked calls in some quarters for a complete ban on live animal exports – after footage showing some arriving at foreign destinations in terrible conditions was shown on an RTE Prime Time Investigates ‘Live Exports: On the Hoof’ last night. (More on the programme here).

Local farmer Lorna Sixsmith watched it and told The KCLR Daily it was distressing to watch;
