The funeral takes place this morning of former Kilkenny county and James Stephens hurler Mick Crotty.
Winner of an All Star award in 1974 as well as a host of hurling titles, Mr Crotty was also a well-known business man having run the Educational Supplies and Toy Master outlets for many years and he served as a teacher locally too.

He’ll be laid to rest at St Kieran’s Cemetery following his funeral mass at St Patrick’s Church which begins at 11 o’clock.
