One crash reported so far in Carlow

Emergency services dealt with a crash in Carlow.

It happened on the N80 at Ballon 2am this morning when a car hit an ESB pole.

The road is partially blocked but is passable.

The vehicle’s occupants are understood to have left the scene by the time emergency services arrived.

Carlow County Council’s reminding that as the storm eases and more people are getting out and about they’re starting to come across fallen trees.

Local authority teams ill mobilise in the coming hours and begin clear up.
