A local Superintendent has added his voice to the Justice Minister’s plea for people to consider joining An Garda Síochána.

Jim O’Callaghan’s suggested those in “sedentary” jobs explore the exciting opportunities within the force which fell short of its target last year.

A recruitment drive is being launched in a bid to boost numbers and strengthen the Gardaí.
