Gardaí say enquires are ongoing to determine if any criminal offence occurred following reports of ‘unusual activity’ in Thomastown.
Just after 10pm on Saturday, a young woman walking by The Greens area of Station Road had a Volkswagen UP car pass her before it slammed on its brakes and reversed.

At least three men are understood to have been in the vehicle and were shouting at her – she subsequently ran to the train station seeking help.
A Garda spokesperson has confirmed to KCLR News that the incident was reported to them.
