Senator from Kilkenny appointed Government Spokesperson in the Seanad for Arts, Media, Sport & Communications

A Senator from our locality has been given a new role.

Kilkenny woman and former RTÉ sports broadcaster Evanne Ní Chuilinn has been appointed Government spokesperson in the Seanad for Arts, Media, Sport and Communications.

In a social media posting the Fine Gael representative says she’s “incredibly grateful for the opportunity to contribute in such an important space” and looks forward “to engaging with key stakeholders, and helping to shape policy in these vital sectors”.

She also posted ‘Huge thanks to the Tánaiste for his confidence in me—I can’t wait to get started!”
