Four e-scooter seizures by Gardaí in Kilkenny in one day

Four e-scooters have been seized by Gardaí in Kilkenny.

They put a spotlight on the personal powered transporters in the city yesterday focusing not just on the vehicles but also the behaviour of their users.

Four of the transportation pieces were taken for falling significantly outside the legal guidelines, mainly that they cannot exceed 20km/h.  While one ticket was issued to an individual who went straight through a red light.

It follows the highlighting of such issues on KCLR in recent weeks.
