Carlow Fire Chief warns ‘Fire doesn’t discriminate’ as Tullow station prepares to host open morning

Carlow’s Fire Chief is warning that fire does not discriminate and can affect anybody.

The local crew has teamed with the county’s Older People’s Council for an Age Friendly coffee morning in the Tullow Station from 10:30am to highlight the importance of safety in the home after figures showed there were 25 house-related fire deaths across the country last year.

The majority happened to people in the older bracket as Ben Woodhouse has been outlining to KCLR News’ Martin Quilty;
