Over one thousand customers left without power in a North Kilkenny village following an incident.

A major power outage has been reported in Lisdowney.

Eye witnesses have told KCLR News that a lorry has pulled down wires in the North Kilkenny village. Over 1,714 customers has been effected and left without power.

Emergency services and ESB crews are currently at the scene and traffic management will be in operation for the next while with the advice that people should avoid the area.

There are no reports of any injuries at this time.
