Muckalee Ladies Football are in their final stages of preparation ahead of Sunday’s AIB LGFA All-Ireland Junior Final, where they face Cromane of Kerry in Parnell Park.
Throw-in is at 2pm, and the game will be broadcast live on KCLR’s Kilkenny frequency.
It has already been a landmark year for the club, who captured their first-ever provincial title earlier this season. Now, they stand one win away from adding an All-Ireland crown to what has been a remarkable campaign.
Team captain Clodagh Hanlon says the success has been built on the bond within the squad—both on and off the pitch.
“We all know what is expected and what needs to be done,” she said. “But yeah, it’s a great bunch and some good characters. Definitely some good characters on the team. And it just makes everything so enjoyable, like going up on the bus. You guarantee to be laughing at someone or something. I think all the different characters on the team, in the club, everything just brings it all together.”
With momentum behind them and confidence high, Muckalee travel to Dublin hoping to finish the season in perfect fashion.
