Carlow return to competitive action tomorrow evening when they take on Wexford in the quarter-final of the Dioralyte O’Byrne Shield at Brother Leo Park in Tullow.
Throw-in is at 7.30pm, with live coverage available on KCLR Plus, accessible via the Listen Live section of the KCLR website and the KCLR app. Supporters planning to attend are reminded that tickets must be purchased in advance through leinstergaa.ie.
The game comes just days after Carlow’s five-point defeat to Offaly last Saturday, but despite the result, manager Joe Murphy was encouraged by what he saw from his squad.
Speaking afterwards, Murphy said he is pleased with how the panel is shaping up as preparations continue for the upcoming National Football League.
“I am very happy with what we have seen. We want to deepen the panel. There are certainly a lot of lads that put their hand up and showed they want to play for Carlow. The game on Wednesday is going to be crucial for us. The first game in the National Football League is going to be a tough one, a long journey, so all this prep is worthwhile.”
