Kilkenny are preparing for their final pre-season game this weekend when they take on Kildare in the Walsh Shield Final.
The game takes place this Sunday at 2 in Callan and is live on KCLR thanks to Tyreland, Cuffesgrange, Kilkenny.
Ahead of that match Cat’s Manager Derk Lyng sat down with the KCLR Hurling podcast for a chat.
Amongst the things they spoke about is if Huw Lawlor and Billy Ryan are gone for the year or whether they may be back at some stage.
“The way I look at it, they are not available. That is how we are driving on with it, but who knows what will happen down the line, but for now we are planning without them. Two great guys, who have given great service to Kilkenny, and its something that is important to both of them. Why we would love to have them, we don’t. We wish them well on their travels. We will see what the future holds, but we are planning without them.”
You can hear that chat in full on the KCLR Hurling podcast, available right now from wherever you get your podcasts.
