A horse dies in early morning incident in Clonmel

A horse that was pulling a sulky car in Clonmel has died following a collision with a car this morning.

It’s been reported that the horse broke free of its handler at the Old Bridge area on the Dungarvan road.

Photos on social media show the animal on the ground while still attached to the sulky.

The car involved in the incident was damaged with its occupant receiving treatment from paramedics at the scene.
