A new comedy event is coming to Kilkenny.
Cat Laughs founder Richard Cook has launched “Mayhem The Road to Cat Laughs.”
The series will feature daily stand-up shows throughout May in smaller venues, with a mix of established and emerging comedians at affordable prices.
Mr Cook told KCLR the event will build momentum ahead of the main festival and that performers have a love of the city. “I suppose in a way, I just, I can see the beginnings of something kind of building nicely for this, you know.”
“Kilkenny is such a good place to play stand-up and because so many of the audiences are used to stand-up being here now, not just the festival, but during the year and The Set, Cleeres and so forth. I think people really like coming and performing here because audiences are good.”
